Q. What will you do during visits with my pets?
We will provide fresh water and food, playtime, and plenty of attention for your pet.
We will also turn lights on/off, open/close drapery, collect the mail, take the trash
in/out and water indoor plants.
Q. What other services are provided by Pet Sitting and Moore?
We provide services such as walking your dog or checking on a senior or ill pet while you're working. We also offer a pet taxi service to transport your pet to grooming and veterinary appointments.
Q. Will you take my pets to your home or come to visit them in mine?
We will come to your home to ensure that your pets are comfortable and safe in their usual surroundings and able to maintain their routines.
Q. What procedure will you follow if my pet becomes ill?
Pet Sitting and Moore is dedicated to excellent care of your pet and we have a 24-hour veterinarian on call. In the event of an emergency, we will take your pet to the nearest animal hospital or to your own veterinarian. At this same time, we will be contacting you or your emergency contact person. We will remain with your pet until you are reached and appropriate action is taken.
Q. What forms of payment are accepted?
We currently accept only cash or checks.
Q. Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. We are fully bonded and insured through the Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
Q. Can I have someone share pet sitting responsibilities?
The insurance carried by Pet Sitting and Moore cannot cover the presence of visitors or other caregivers in the home. In the interest of our safety and that of your pet, we request that you either contract solely with us or choose another person to care for your pets.
Q. Do you use a service contract that spells out the services performed and fees for doing so?
Yes. A well-written contract outlines the details associated with each service we will provide. The contract includes all fees along with the expected amount of time that will be spent with your pet(s). This ensures that you and I are in agreement and understand the level of service being provided in your absence.
Q. How much time will you spend in my home to care for my pet(s)?
The average in-home visit to care for one pet is 30 minutes. Additional time may be required if you request special services such as dog walking, pet grooming, etc., or have a multiple pet household.
Q. Should I check references?
Yes. We are happy to provide references.
